Datacentre Engineer with formal IT qualification and minimum 3 years’ experience in a networking and telecommunications support environment, required for the maintenance, administration and day-to-day operations of the company’s datacentre services.

Minimum requirements:
• IT Diploma/Degree/Certificate in IT required
• Microsoft 365 knowledge required
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in a networking and telecommunications support environment required
• Strong understanding of network infrastructure and network hardware required
• Hyper-V experience essential
• Expert knowledge and understanding of VMWare, Sharepoint and VOIP essential
• Experience in support and configuration of cloud services (Azure, AWS) preferred
• Financial Services industry experience preferred

Responsibilities:
• Maintenance, administration and day to day operations of datacentre services
• Maintain and administer computer networks and related computing environments, including software, applications software, hardware and configurations
• Perform disaster recovery operations and data backups
• Protect data, software and hardware – coordinate, plan and implement network security measures
• Troubleshoot, diagnose and resolve hardware, software and other network and system problems
• Improve in process and technology to increase productivity and stability
• Replace faulty infrastructure hardware components
• Maintain, configure and monitor virus protection software and email applications
• Monitor network performance
• Engage with network users and solve existing system problems
• Design, configure and test networking software, computer hardware and operating system software
• Pro-active cyber security awareness, implementation and compliance
