DEBTORS CLERK / General Office Assistant – Pretoria East

Import / export – retail company, looking for a DEBTORS CLERK / General Assistant.
Job Description
• Administration of Debtors accounts, invoicing, processing of customer payments, processing of credit notes and reporting.
• Keeping records of customers’ accounts
• General admin office duties.

Duties involve:
• Administration of Debtors accounts:
? Invoicing
? Processing of payments & credit notes
? Receipting of all COD payments daily
• Reconciliation all debtors accounts
• Carry out routine bookkeeping duties including calculating interest on overdue accounts.
• Collections and processing of all payments
• Collection of outstanding debt
• Phoning clients (Follow up timeously on payments)
• Handling of debtors Queries
• E-mailing statements and invoices at client request
• General admin i.e. filing of – Orders, Invoices, etc.
• Debtors reports compiled on request
• Banking reports compiled daily
• Cash book - daily basis

Experience / Skills:
• Matric, plus relevant qualifications /OR experience
• Min 5 years’ experience - in a similar role.
• Computer literate: MS Office, Accpac – or any accounting package
• Strong methodical approach to debt collection, document capturing and reporting
• Strong numerical ability (accuracy)
• Strong communication skills (both written and verbal)
• Attention to detail
• Person to have high levels of integrity
• Excellent interpersonal skills and able to work under pressure

Salary: R6k – 12k CTC pm, negotiable with the experience
