An international IPP is looking for a Development Engineer with Wind Energy focus to join their global team. This role can be based in Johannesburg, Cape Town or London.

This position will support the business development team to develop and construct energy projects across Africa. The projects will be primarily wind energy projects but there will be opportunities to work on other technologies including solar. All projects may incorporate energy storage systems, thermal generation or other hybrid technologies.

Key requirements:
• Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
• Significant experience in the wind energy industry either as a technical advisor, development engineer, a developer or consultant
• Experience in renewable project design and optimisation
• Experienced in developing and negotiating contracts including power purchase agreements, construction contracts, grid connection agreements,
• Knowledge of the roles and responsibilities of Lender’s, Owner’s Engineers, Lender’s Engineer and contractors
