Your key job responsibilities as the DevOps Engineer in Cape Town will include:

- Work in an agile environment with stand-ups, sprints, and planning meetings
- Design and implement build, deployment, and configuration management
- Build and test automation tools for infrastructure provisioning
- Automate our operational processes as needed, with accuracy and in compliance with our security requirement
- Work with CI and CD tools, and source control such as GIT / Bamboo / Octopus
- Stay current with industry trends and source new ways for our business to improve
- Document and design various processes; update existing processes
- Ability to work under pressure
- Ability to work in cross-functional teams
- Attention to detail, passion, enthusiasm
- Possess exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to work with little or no supervision
- Automate and Manage the release of all applications to different environments

Requirements for this DevOps Engineer job in Cape Town:

- Minimum 5+ years previous experience in development and operations, or related IT, computer, or operations field
- Good interpersonal skills and communication with all levels of management
- Previous experience with software development, infrastructure development, or development and operations
- Proficient in at least four or more of the following: Powershell, Python, Octopus, Bamboo, Rancher, Docker, Kubernetes
- Desired skills: Bamboo, Powershell, Python, Octopus, NodeJS
- Knowledge of scripting languages such as Java, JavaScript, Perl, Ruby, Python, PHP, Groovy, Bash
- Experience with project management and workflow tools such as Jira
- Stellar troubleshooting skills with the ability to spot issues before they become problems
- Strong experience with Linux-based infrastructures, Linux/Unix administration / Microservices / Docker / Rancher / Kubernetes / Windows Server / IIS
- Experience with open-source technologies and cloud services
