We have an exciting career opportunity for a DevOps Engineer to join a leading Pan-African sports betting platform at their offices in Cape Town. If you previous experience with server configuration and maintenance, and extensive knowledge and experience with continuous integration/deployment technologies and tools, this job could be perfect for you!

Your key job responsibilities as the DevOps Engineer in Cape Town will include:

- Design, test, and implement continuous integration and deployment pipelines using GitLab CI
- Design and develop automation and testing tools across the entire development stack
- Provide support and guidance to the development team
- Perform performance and availability assessments
- Monitoring using Prometheus and Grafana
- Troubleshoot source code management and deployment issues
- Install, configure and maintain Linux server software
- Create and maintain documentation on configuration, troubleshooting, design

Requirements for this DevOps Engineer job in Cape Town:

- Bachelor’s degree in IT, computer science, or a related field
- Previous experience with server configuration and maintenance
- Extensive knowledge and experience with continuous integration/deployment technologies and tools
- Knowledge of automation frameworks like Chef, Puppet or Saltstack
- In-depth knowledge of Linux server environments
- Knowledge of MySQL database systems
- Knowledge of Google Cloud Platform
- Programming and development experience in Python, Java, C.
- Familiarity with the agile development process and best practices
- Good communication skills and ability to work in a team and remotely
