Our client based in the Cape Town area are looking for a DevOps Systems Administrator to join their team on a permanent basis You will be responsible for the following: • Provision and configure cloud services on the Azure cloud platform • Install and configure new virtual servers (both Windows and Linux) • Install and configure new physical servers when needed • Troubleshoot and fix issues with physical and virtual servers • Develop and implement high availability and disaster recovery procedures • Secure systems against attacks • Install and maintain monitoring systems • Monitor applications for outages and performance degradation • Configure load balancing for high load applications • Secure quotes from and submit orders to vendors and service providers • Troubleshoot and report failures to vendors and service providers and assist with resolution • Respond to and resolve outages that happen after-hours Requirements for this Exciting new role include: • Systems administration qualification(s) & Degree • 4+ years’ Experience • Windows server administration skills: IIS • Linux server administration skills: apache, bind, exim, Git • Database administration skills: MS SQL Server and MySQL • Microsoft Azure cloud computing platform • Scripting skills • Knowledge of Internet technologies and protocols (DNS, HTTP, SMTP, TCP/IP) • Visual Studio experience and software development using the Windows technology stack • Experience with continuous integration and deployment Interested candidates can forward their comprehensive written applications to the following e-mail: ****@*****.*** or fax to: (***)-***-****, you can also contact Caitlin on (***)-***-**** Correspondence will only be conducted with short listed candidates.
