The purpose of the Digital Marketing Manager is to:

• Ensure that our brand marketing teams are keeping up to date with latest technology and best practices in web, app, digital marketing (including online brand management), database marketing, email, social media, SEO/SEM, display and CRM Assist brand marketing teams with planning their overall digital marketing strategies
• Support, educate and train the brand marketing teams in digital marketing by providing information, educational opportunities, and experiential growth opportunities
• Analyse and feedback on outcomes against KPI’s, to ensure continuous and meaningful improvement in all digital initiatives


The Digital Marketing Manager is responsible for:

• Assisting brand teams with strategic planning and execution of web, app, digital marketing (including online brand management), database marketing, email, social media, SEO/SEM, display and CRM initiatives and campaigns
• Optimising digital platforms to maximise the collection of consumer and transactional data
• Evaluating and presenting consumer trends pertaining to digital marketing, loyalty and reward programmes
• Working with Brand Marketing teams to increase customer conversion, improve retention and customer loyalty
• Developing KPI dashboards for web, app, digital marketing, database marketing, email, social media, SEO/SEM, display and CRM initiatives and campaigns
• Analysing KPI’s to review conversion and retention rates and ROMI, and ensure continuous improvement in all digital initiatives and campaigns
• Contributing to marketing effectiveness by identifying short-term and long-range issues that must be addressed
• Developing sustainable business models for rewards and incentive programs with potential 3rd party partners
• Securing, commercialising and managing 3rd party reward programme partnerships
• Communicating across technical and non-technical audiences
• Developing digital marketing staff by providing information, educational opportunities, and experiential growth opportunities

Skills and Attributes

• Ability to manage, organise and prioritise.
• Numerate and analytical with the ability to produce reports and derive valuable insights and analysis
• Ability to combine solid data analytics skills with strong business acumen to provide meaningful and practical insights
• Advanced level of computer literacy in Microsoft packages, particularly in Excel and PowerPoint. (PowerBI an advantage)
• Ability to manage multiple projects with swift execution
• Proven track record of taking ownership and driving results
• Ability to work in fast-paced, high performance environment
• Ability to think both strategically and tactically with exceptional attention to detail

Qualifications and Experience

• Strong background in customer acquisition and retention strategies.
• Tertiary qualification required. Preferably Marketing, Commerce and/or Information Systems related.
• Extensive experience of direct and digital marketing ideally in a similar industry.
• Experience with post campaign analysis
• Analytical mindset with experience in translating data into relevant insights and world class engagement strategies
• 5+ years of experience as a Digital Marketing Manager
• 5+ years of experience in developing and implementing digital marketing strategies
• Good knowledge of range of digital marketing channels
• Good knowledge and experience with online marketing tools and best practices
• Experience with SEO, Google Analytics and CRM software
