Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for the position of Divisional Finance Manager. This position will report directly to the Group Commercial & Shared Services Executive and Financial Director of a Plastics Manufacturer.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:
• Roll out and monitor a successful implementation of the Division’s financial strategy and plans in accordance with Group policy, directives and best operating practice
• Organise and build the appropriate functional capacity in the Division
• Strong oversight of working capital management within the Division
• Coach and assist the Divisional management team in understanding and interpreting financial-related information
• Presentation of on time and accurate financial information as required by the Group
• Providing a supervisory role to financial managers in the Division to ensure accurate information is presented on time
• Ensuring conformance to all reporting, accounting and audit requirements imposed by the regulatory bodies, Head Office and the Group’s Audit and Risk Committees
• Preparation and presentation of financial budgets, financial plans and capital applications for approval
• Identification and reporting of any irregularities regarding lack of compliance and non-adherence to financial systems and processes
• Implementation of the Group comprehensive risk management system in the Divisions
• Providing general capacity building and education on financial management matters to improve financial management literacy within the Division

Qualifications and Experience:
• Relevant Honours Degree in Finance - Minimum
• CIMA / CA (SA) - Ideally
• 5 years post article experience
• Solid experience in manufacturing and therefore cost accounting is essential
• A good understanding and implementation of International Financial Standards - IFRS
• A good understanding of reporting systems (knowledge of ERP Syspro is essential)
• Knowledge of South African taxation
• Advanced computer skills (e.g. MS Office, Syspro and BI Tools)
