Job Description

Assist clients with any technical queries they may have
Ensure that you are always aware of technical problems on site and maintain close client relationships
Maintain supplier and contractor relationships
Assist Project Managers with office and site work
Work with the Production department with the renovation of equipment
Constantly improve health, quality and environmental impact standards
Work with low voltage systems (DC and AC), PLC’s and VFD’s, instrumentation, control systems, panel building, industrial communications, switchgears, cabling, power/control wiring, motors, trial running and system testing
Complete electrical drawings
Compile quotes and price estimations for projects as well as write reports on scope of work for clients and suppliers
Work with financial systems CRM, SAP
Maintain lists for parts and materials, equipment and cable schedules
Oversee the correction of technical problems and ensure an improvement plan is put in place
Liaise about modifications/ improvements in the companies foreign head office
Plan out electrical diagrams
Audit equipment / processes on site
Troubleshoot PLC driven equipment
Assist with sensitive cabling or wiring
Work with the Production department by supplying drawings, specs and equivalencies
Ensure company quality standards are always met and that non-conformances are kept to a minimum
Always keep updated on new technologies/ processes
Travel to clients required

Minimum Requirements

N. Diploma in Electrical Engineering / other relevant Diplomas/Degrees
5 years’ exp. Working in an Electrical Engineering field
AutoCAD, MS Office proficiency
Marketing skills
Aluminium industry equipment knowledge will be advantageous
Financial skills such as budgets, reporting, cost control and estimations
Understanding of Safety, Health and Environment in the workplace
Must have a valid driver’s license
