We are looking for a Electrical Superintendent from a high speed machinery environment. To ensure maximum plant availability (minimum machine failures and downtime) on a rotational shift basis.

Key Responsibilities
• Maintenance, service and repair of electrical networks and equipment within the production facility
• Together with other technicians provides process and technical support to the machine crews in order to maintain and optimize asset process stability (high speed machinery) and develop crew’s process knowledge to achieve safety, quality and productivity targets.
• Be able to do fault finding problem solving and minimize electrical delay on circuits.
• Must have problem solving and fault finding abilities as they will be first in line if there is a breakdown
• Responsible for all Proactive (Preventative, Inspection, Predictive) works
• Involved on new Lines installation, Check-Out and Commissioning stages
• Ensuring machine availability through minimizing of downtime.
• Attending to breakdowns.
• Planned and preventative maintenance on all electrical installations / equipment.
• Adhere to Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental and other Risk Management requirements and standards as per OHS Act, COID Act, Alexander Forbes and Rainbow.
• Farms Risk Management Systems requirements and standards in order to assist management in meeting and exceeding specific Risk Management objectives and targets

Minimum Requirements:
• N4 Electrical certificate, minimum x 4 subjects (Including engineering maths and science)
• Candidate must have served an apprenticeship and passed an electrical red seal trade test at the following institutions, (Olifantsfontein, Westlake or Northlink Wingfield)
• The candidate must have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in the light steel manufacturing and high speed packing environment working as a shift electrician.
• The person must be able to work shifts / be on standby
• Must have PLC’s, technical knowledge and variable speed drivers.
