Electrician Building Maintenance

Roles and Responsibilities
• Install, maintain, and repair electrical power, lighting, and control systems.
• Install, maintain, modify and repair all electrical distribution systems and associated electrical equipment.
• Maintenance of tools and machinery belonging to company.
• Maintenance of machinery on site.
• Remain in compliance with current National Electric Code.
• Inspect and test components of electrical systems.
• Receiving, controlling, managing and assigning of material utilized on projects.
• Understanding and proficient in Electrical schematics and manufacturer's installation manuals to complete assigned projects.
• Survey electrical systems, circuits.

Requirements
• Grade 12.
• Trade tested Electrician.
• Relevant license or certification (Wireman’s License a must).
• Vast electrical system knowledge, power reticulation, single line diagrams, maintenance, installation and repair knowledge.
• Full understanding of best practices and ability to work to SANS10142.
• Maintenance of buildings a must.
• Valid Unendorsed Code EB Driver’s License (previously Code 08).
• At least 4 - 5 years in the electrical trade.
• Excellent hand-eye coordination.
• Demonstrable knowledge and skills for electrical installation, maintenance and repair of electrical systems and equipment .
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work well in a team environment.
• Excellent time and resource management.
• Comply with health and safety policies and procedures.
• This person will mostly work on sites, outside and inside buildings, in any type of weather (incl. heat and cold).
• Able to sit, squat, walk, climb, reaching out to arm’s length, reaching over head, lifting and reading.

Benefits
R25k – R35k pm depending on experience

Skill Set
• Trade tested Electrician with Wireman’s License
• Min 4 years’ experience.
• Experience in building maintenance required.
• Valid Unendorsed Code EB Driver’s License
