Qualified Electrical Trade / Millwright Trade Test Certificate

Minimum 5 years electrical maintenance experience

Installs and repairs electrical systems, apparatus, electrical and electronic components of industrial machinery and equipment, following electrical code, manuals, schematic diagrams, blueprints, and other specifications, using hand-tools, power tools, and electrical and electronic test equipment.
Installs power supply wiring and conduit for newly installed machines and equipment, such as conveyors, Presses and calendars.
Connects power supply wires to machines and equipment, following manuals, schematic diagrams, and blueprints, using hand tools, power tools, and test equipment.
Diagnoses malfunctioning apparatus such as transformers, motors and lighting fixtures, using test equipment and replaces damaged or broken equipment and cables using hand-tools.
Test malfunctioning machinery using test equipment.
Replaces faulty electrical components such as relays, switches, motors, and position sensing devices, using hand-tools.
Diagnoses and repairs or replaces faulty electronic components such as printed circuit boards.
Replaces electric motor bearings.
May plan layout of wiring and install wiring, conduit, and electrical apparatus in buildings.
May diagnose and replace faulty mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components of machines and equipment.
Maintains appropriate service and repair records.
Researches, purchases and inventories equipment parts, chemicals and supply.
Responds to routine an emergency calls for repairs and service
Make sure that all PM’s checks and Routine checks assigned to you are up to date.
The electrical panels of the machinery assigned to you are your responsibility, so make sure that they are equip with drawings and in a good condition.
May train and direct the work of other classified staff in the area
Represent the Engineering group with leading the Gemba process
Assist in the writing of specifications and repairs to new equipment.
Troubleshoots repairs and maintains electrical distribution systems including electric motors, electric controls, fire alarms and clock systems.
Installs, troubleshoots and repairs new equipment and systems, including programmable logic controllers.
