URGENT VACANCY - ** Electronics and Automation Engineer – West Rand, JHB**
Lighting Manufacturing company, looking for an Electronics and Automation Engineer - for their factory.

1. To ensure the company is using up to date technology and to source the most efficient and cost effective electronic and lighting control technology.
2. Be part of the team for the development of new products.
3. To specify components and parameters on components.
4. Assist production on specialized projects

• Work with design to ensure all new/ re-developed products, meet electrical specifications and parameters.
• Project manage certain product lines, when required.
• Ensuring correct specifications, and assisting production - with the specification and parameters of drivers on all specialized and standard products
• Recommendation / Sourcing of electrical components for production, procurement, design, sales and customers.
• Assist and set up any form of testing of products and components
• Approving the first of samples to avoid failures on site due to incorrect specifications and applications.
• Presentations for client meetings, product training and technology controls.

• Diploma in Electronics (or similar) PLUS min. 3 years’ experience
• MS Word and Excel - proficient
• Be proficient in the following - Electrical & electronic knowledge / Electronic lighting controls / Fault finding
• Must have a valid driver’s license and own vehicle
• Independent thinking / A proactive person.
• Be able to work under tight deadlines.
• Must have good communication skills
