1. DESCRIPTION OF POSITION:
The administration of monthly contributions and associated tasks.

2. MAIN ACTIVITIES:
• Identifying/ receiving monthly contributions
• Performing monthly reconciliations
• Processing monthly contributions
• Processing benefit claim payments
• Updating member data
• Resolution of member queries
• Preparing investment documents
• Apply Section 13A protocols

Supporting activities
• Processing Section 14 transfers-in
• Processing individual transfers-in
• Assisting with the production of management / trustee reports
• Assisting with the preparation of benefit statement documents & checking samples
• Assisting with the audit preparations.
• Loading daily prices and monthly returns
• Asset / Liability Matching
• Processing investment mandate switches
• Fund maintenance

3. QUALIFICATIONS:
Matric with strong accounting and mathematical abilities; or
BA/ Diploma or equivalent will be an advantage.

4. SKILLS REQUIRED:
Good verbal and written communication skills in english & afrikaans.
Understanding of accounting principles.
Articulate presentation and professionalism.
Organised and good time management skills.
Client service orientated.
Attention to detail/accuracy.
Positive attitude and open to change.
Proactive – uses initiative (Self-starter - able to self-motivate).
Must be able to work independently and under pressure.
Strong work ethic.

5. TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE:
Strong knowledge of administration principles; and
A good understanding of the Employee Benefits industry will be beneficial.

6. TECHNOLOGY:
Practical experience on Microsoft office (outlook, word, excel).

7. WORKING EXPERIENCE:
3 Years administration experience in the employee benefits industry.
