Requirements:

? Matric
? Registered with SANC as an Enrolled Nursing Auxiliary
? Minimum 5 years? experience as an Enrolled Nursing Auxiliary
? Previous experience in a Private Hospital in a Surgical Ward

Key Outputs:

? Strong quality patient care orientation
? BLS competent
? Ability to monitor vital signs, identify the abnormalities and report to the EN and/or RN
? Competently administering oral medication
? Competent in physical assessment
? Provide health education to parents and patients
? High energy levels and tolerance for stress/pressure
? Focus on quality patient care and accompany stable patients to procedures and interventions
? Assist with setting and preparing for procedures and interventions
? Assist with patient care, pressure care, catheter care and feeding
? Problem analysis/solving skills and accurate record keeping
? Adaptable and able to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
? Excellent interpersonal and communication skills at all levels
? Ability to render basic nursing care under supervision
? Shift work compulsory
? Ad hoc duties
