A reputable firm in Durban is looking for an Engineer/Technologist specializing in Water and Environment. Responsibilities: • Develop capacity, skills and proficiency as a professional in the engineering & construction industry • Assist with daily W&E management and reporting • Assist the Water & Environment team • Adhere to corporate values, policies and procedures • Maintain high levels of quality in relation to work produced • Management and administration of projects • Analysis and design of technical solutions • Prepare cost estimates, procurement documentation, bills/schedules of quantities and technical specifications • Preparation of technical reports • Engineering drawing preparation, review and verification • Participate in proposal preparation • Liaise with clients and industry partners • Occasionally travel within South Africa as well as internationally on assignments Requirements: • B.Eng Civil Engineering Registered with ECSA: Professional registration is preferable • Practical knowledge of hydraulic and hydrological principles • Proficient in use of design & analysis software (CAD and/or GIS will be an advantage) • Proficient in technical report writing • Valid Driver’s License • Advanced MS Word and Excel experience will be an advantage Experience: • 8 to 10 years’ post qualification experience in water/wastewater/drainage projects (preferably in a design office environment with some site management experience) Should you meet the requirements for this position, please email your CV to ****@*****.***.
