The EPC Project Manager will be responsible for the coordination of all project activities from Origination through to COD. Initially he / she will assist in the development of the project through to Financial Close where after he / she will be responsible for supporting the direct management oversight and on-schedule, on-budget delivery of assigned backlog projects. He / She establishes project objectives and procedures, maintains operational liaison with primary contractors and maintains a functional reporting line to head office. He / She both direct and monitor construction activities by providing direction to project engineers, procurement, administrative, and subcontracted labour and EPC services.

Pre-requisites:
• Bachelor's/Master’s degree in engineering (electrical, mechanical);
• 5-10 years of relevant work experience in the PV energy market;
• Proven track record successfully managing Engineering, Procurement, and Construction phases of large power projects ideally in the solar industry, but could also be in the renewable, building construction (industrial, commercial, resort, etc…) or conventional energy industry;
• Experience of construction laws and regulations including labour related laws, health and safety, grid codes, etc.;
• Competent and experienced in contract negotiations;
• Available for international travel
• Be fluent in English (spoken and written)
• South African Citizen or permanent resident

Know-how:
• Excellent knowledge of international Construction Project Management (including Site Management).
• The candidate must be technically involved and be a pro-active interface with Procurement.
• The candidate must have the ability to coordinate various outsourced services to achieve a fully built project at the lowest cost will be a key requirement.
• Familiarity with formal project management methodologies and ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings a plus
