KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREAS:
Assists employees with pre-placement medical examination.
Screens employees and attends to those whose illness or injury may require urgent medical
attention and report to occupational practitioners for prompt treatment and attention.
Prepares consultation rooms and ensures adequacy of medical supplies.
Carries out investigations or tests in order to facilitate accurate diagnosis and treatment.
Assists Medical Officers and Professional Nurses during examinations and consultations as
required and prepare patient records including interpretation for patients in order to ensure
Conducts health education for employees as per identified needs as delegated by the senior
Provides an effective record keeping service for the Occupational Health Section.
Keeps medical apparatus and equipment in good working order.
Sets up clinic for procedures and tests in order to facilitate carrying out of medical procedures
by Occupational Health Practitioners.
Maintains high standards of professionalism and ensures that employee information and
records are kept confidential at all times.
Generally assists medical and nursing staff as required.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
Assist with duties as and when instructed by shift leader or the unit manager thus ensuring
you promote a harmonious team effort within the department.
Provide comprehensive quality nursing care to patients, based on individualised patient
needs, using scientific principles and practicing standard precautions and all principles of
Maintain effective relationships with all internal and external customers, and ensure all actions
promote customer service excellence.
Render and promote quality patient care in accordance with best practice standards and
hospital policies in assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating the care of all assigned
Grade 10/ Matric Certificate
Registered to SANC
