OVERVIEW
A contract based employment opportunity is available at Thabakholo Environmental Solutions, Kathu, Northern Cape. The successful candidate will be based in Kathu/Sishen Mine. The scope of works will consist of assisting the company with environmental rehabilitation related tasks and activities, reporting directly to the project manager.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Liaise with client and management regarding planning, implementing and rehabilitation procedures
• Measurements and drawings of project works
• Submit daily, weekly and monthly production sheets
• Prepare and update reports as requested by client and project manager
• Report writing for various projects
• Writing of method statements for biophysical activities
• Monitoring and review of projects
• Data capturing
• Conducting site visits for various sites
• Ad-hoc environmental activities
• Compile and update all relevant site files
• Attend risk assessment activities
• Ensuring all relevant documentation is prepared and completed for quality control systems
• General office and site administration

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
• Degree or Diploma in Environmental Science or related field of study.
• Previous work experience will be a definite advantage, but the opportunity is not limited to this.

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
• Must be proficient in English and Afrikaans
• Valid South African Drivers License
• Advance computer skills (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is extremely important
• Excellent communication skills
• Report writing skills
• Self motivated and time management is essential
• Attention to detail is essential

The candidate must be medically fit and in good health. An occupational medical examination will be conducted on appointment.
Remuneration will be market related.
