Our client requires the service of an experienced Estate Manager who will be responsible for managing all of the estate portfolios, contractors, service providers and staff.

Key performance areas:

Facilities management:
? Manage the overall day-to-day running of all aspects of the estate, including maintenance, landscaping and domestic duties, to agreed standards
? Manage the general upkeep and maintain cleanliness in the estate
? Ensure that the common areas are well maintained to uphold the excellent standards already achieved
? Ensure that all equipment and machinery is running effectively
? Oversee all activities relating to the olive farming and oil production, liaising with and managing external contractors and estate employees
? Manage, maintain and replenish consumables

People management:
? Responsible for the supervision of staff, service providers and contractors, their working to required standards, obtaining maximum productivity, efficiency and quality, and meeting all legal compliance
? Adhere to statutory obligations, including health and safety
? Understand all aspects of estate management services and train your team to enable them to confidently and confidentially deal with all aspects of their roles
? Communicate timeously and effectively with homeowners and tenants
? Manage the requests and requirements of homeowners and tenants
? Oversee the planning, organisation and hosting of events and social gatherings

Security management:
? Take overall responsibility for the security of the estate and the safety of the residents
? Manage all aspects of the security systems, including guarding, armed response, access control (visitors, contractors, facial recognition system), electric fencing, CCTV monitoring
? Work with service providers of security services

Financial management:
? Assist with developing the estate budget
? Manage income and expenditure in line with the budget
? Financial administration and reporting
? Implementing systems and procedures surrounding financial and general operations

Supplier management
? Managing relationship
? Procurement

The successful candidate must have:

? Matric with a relevant tertiary qualification
? At least 5 years proven management experience
? Experience in a related field will be advantageous
? Must have a positive personality that encourages a collaborative work environment
? Excellent computer literacy (Knowledge of spreadsheets etc.)
? Ability to prioritise and schedule work
? Excellent reporting skills
? Strong people skills and the ability to interact with trustees and staff
? Attention to detail
? Ability to accurately assess both the quality of the estate’s upkeep and the performance of individual employees, contractors and service providers
? Excellent problem solving skills
? Good understanding of practical processes and maintenance requirements.
