ESTIMATOR - BUILDING

A large multidisciplinary Construction company operating throughout South Africa, Africa and the Middle East is looking for suitably qualified and experienced Estimator - Building with a sound knowledge of Large Building experience in Buildings (Hotels, Shopping Centres, Hospitals etc.) in excess of R200 Million. You will must be prepared to travel if required for Site inspections etc. You must have a stable track record, you would have worked for recognised companies for 5 years or more, if you have moved around every other year then you will not be considered.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

• Analyse plans and specifications.
• Establish project cost and duration.
• Establish anticipated revenue project will generate.
• Require analytical, mathematical and financial skills.
• Apply regulatory requirements.
• Compiling tenders by co-ordinating and collecting information to complete tender submissions
• Drawing on standard documentation and interfacing with contracts director
• Exposed to tendering for sizeable project containing Roads and Surfacing of Roads as well associated concrete structures such as bridges,
utilities, drainage.
• Build up rates

Skills, Experience & Education:

• BSc / BEng (Civil)/ NHD Civil Engineering or Construction Management Degree.
• 5 Years’ experience on construction sites with at least 2 years as estimator.
• Candidate should have good administrative and clerical skills, be computer literate with experience in MS Word, MS Excel, CCS.
