Kaingo Game Reserve () is a private Big5 conservation-first reserve. Kaingo offers true exclusivity, with only one lodge (5 star) accommodating 28 guests, on a total reserve area of 9,000 hectares.

At Kaingo we take pride on delivering a differentiated hands-on guest experience through land & water safari experiences and a range of guest activities. Our guides do so much more than the normal Big5 game drives. With a deep knowledge of the Waterberg’s plants, insects, birds and game,they further enhance the guest experience around a range of guest activities that include Rock Art Excursions, boat trips, fishing, walking and hiking, rhino tracking, birding, photography and other special excursions tailored to the guests’ interests.
Where possible our guests are allocated a private vehicle and guide, allowing guests to combine a selection of activities, for a fully tailor-made itinerary according to specific interests and desires.
Ultimately our guides are responsible to unlock an amazing guest experience in the uniquely spectacular and diverse Waterberg environment of bush savannah, kloofs, mountains and the Mokolo river basin.
All guides, as a minimum requirement, should communicate well, be polite, approachable, knowledgeable, professional, attentive, and respectful of the environment. Kaingo however further requires individuals that are truly exceptional with contagious enthusiasm, attention to detail, a good sense of humour, story-telling ability, great hosting skills, intelligent conversationalists, excellent with children and an infatuation with the Waterberg bush. These qualities allow our guides to create an interactive experience for our guests, focused on their specific goals and wishes, that elevate our guest experience from the enjoyable to the unforgettable.

To join our small, close knit team you should fit the above description and have the following:
• Demonstrable track record and references of work experience in a similar environment
• Preferably bilingual – English and Afrikaans. Other international languages a plus.
• Limpopo Department of Tourism registration
• Valid PDP and first aid certification
• At least CATHSSETA Level 4/5 (Tourist guide) competency
• Firearms and dangerous game qualified
• At least Back-up Trails qualification (Lead Trails guide preferred)
• Skippers licence will be an advantage
We offer you the opportunity to grow with an established company. Remuneration includes a market related salary in accordance with qualifications and experience and live-in accommodation. A flexible work schedule is followed, i.e. typically 3 weeks on 1 week off.
