Our client is a Statutory Body with the mandate to regulate one of the Professions in South Africa

We currently recruiting for Executive Business Support Services and CFO

The position is accountable for the development and delivery of the corporate financial, accounting, supply chain, facilities management, information communications technology and human resources management strategies in order to attain business strategic goals.The Executive: Business Support Services & Chief Financial Officer reports to the Chief Executive Officer.

Duties & Responsibilities

Formulate the Division’s Annual Business Plan in line with the Strategy and Annual Performance Plan;
Develop and oversee the execution of the Financial Management and Sustainability strategy;
Develop and manage an integrated Business Risk strategy and approach;
Support the Executive Management Team with financial management reports for sound business decision making, monitoring and evaluation;
Prepare, consult and agree with other Executives and the CEO on annual budget costs and revenues in relation to operational and project initiatives for the divisions;
Develop process standards and tools for Management toenable efficient and effective financial management of their respective divisions and Business Units;
Ensure that the Delegation of Authority Policy is adhered to and continually reviewed for organisational fit;
Ensure cash flow management system are in place to resource the organisation;
Oversee the development and implementation of the ICT, HR and Supply Chain strategies, business plans, policies and procedures to achieve organisational goals;
Oversee the preparation of organisational financial statements;
Manage and create a conducive environment for highly motivated and productive staff for the Division;
Prepare and monitor the divisional budget requirements based on organisational developments and business needs;
Observe and comply with corporate governance policies and protocols.
Desired Experience & Qualification

Honours Degree in Finance;
Postgraduate qualification in management;
Advanced knowledge, understanding and experience in Information &Communication Technology;
A minimum of 10 years as a Senior Manager, 5 of which in Financial and Risk policy, standards development and application;
At least 3 years’ experience in a similar role, managing a corporate support functions in an organisation;
Experience of effecting and supporting behavioural, policies, processes and systems change across the organisation;
Sound knowledge and application of the Finance Management Policies, procedures and protocols;
Advanced written, verbal communication and negotiations skills;
Strong analytical leadership skills;
Understanding of the general application of legislation governing statutory councils;
Appreciation of relevant legislation applicable
