POSITION: EXPEDITOR
REPORTS TO: PROCUREMENT MANAGER
LOCATION: WYNBERG OFFICES
DURATION: 6 MONTHS

JOB OBJECTIVE:
• Assist in ensuring materials are purchased at competitive prices in a timely fashion to meet production requirements
• Adherence to procurement policy and procedure whilst ensuring regulatory compliance
• Work with suppliers to ensure service level achievement
• Support the S&OP process to improve efficiencies and ensure business excellence
• Ensure cross functional collaboration to deliver against targets

JOB DESCRIPTION
• Constantly communicate with suppliers to ensure quality goods are received at the agreed cost, quantity and specification to meet the production requirements
• Provide delivery updates to Category Specialists; assist with potential risk mitigation
• Expedite deliveries to ensure timeous delivery
• Update necessary systems to ensure alignment of planning and production
• Assist in resolving delivery issues and non-conformance of deliveries
• Assist in maintaining necessary supply records
• Develop and maintain professional supplier relationships to ensure improved service levels
• Assist in providing inputs to measure supplier performance against agreed service levels
• Assist with initiatives to improve service levels
• Support other functions within Operations to enable world class commercial operations

• Requirements
• Qualification in Supply Chain, or equivalent
• Minimum 5yrs Procurement experience in FMCG or Consumer Healthcare is beneficial
• Professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
