POSITION: EXPEDITOR

REPORTS TO: PROCUREMENT MANAGER

LOCATION: WYNBERG OFFICES

DURATION: 6 MONTHS


JOB OBJECTIVE:

Assist in ensuring materials are purchased at competitive prices in a timely fashion to meet production requirements
Adherence to procurement policy and procedure whilst ensuring regulatory compliance
Work with suppliers to ensure service level achievement
Support the S&OP process to improve efficiencies and ensure business excellence
Ensure cross functional collaboration to deliver against targets
 

JOB DESCRIPTION

Constantly communicate with suppliers to ensure quality goods are received at the agreed cost, quantity and specification to meet the production requirements
Provide delivery updates to Category Specialists; assist with potential risk mitigation
Expedite deliveries to ensure timeous delivery
Update necessary systems to ensure alignment of planning and production
Assist in resolving delivery issues and non-conformance of deliveries
Assist in maintaining necessary supply records
Develop and maintain professional supplier relationships to ensure improved service levels
Assist in providing inputs to measure supplier performance against agreed service levels
Assist with initiatives to improve service levels
Support other functions within Operations to enable world class commercial operations

Ensure delivery of KPIs.

Requirements
Qualification in Supply Chain, or equivalent
Minimum 5yrs Procurement experience in FMCG or Consumer Healthcare is beneficial
Professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
