Experienced Copier Technician with Senior/Supervisory/Technical manager level experience - Botswana

Our client in Botswana is looking for a Nashua/Gestetner/Ricoh technical person.
Technical level to be Senior/ supervisor/ technical manager level.

This person should be:
• Thoroughly technically competent
• Can go out and do bulk of service calls personally
• Can order parts
• Can follow up on other techi’s
• But can also mentor 4 or 5 techi’s to improve their skill level
• Total number of calls is low, maybe 100/ month.
• Position would be based in Botswana, with potential of a field trip to far away town a few times a year.

• NOT a clock watcher
• Make a plan type of guy
• Sober habits
• Preferably someone with no children to send to school in Botswana as this is expensive here.
• Any race group will be accepted,
• Preferably a SADC (South African Developing Country) person – as it will be easier to get you a permit, but can consider other nationalities too.

MACHINES:
The machines our clients have are Nashua/Gestetner/Ricoh ONLY:
• B&W from 20PPm to 100PPm, (mostly 20PPm to 40PPm)
• Colour from 20PPm to 50PPmm, mostly 20PPm.

SALARY:
Gross package for the right candidate is BWP 20K to BWP30K/ month as a guideline.
The gross package will be split up into :
basic, house, car/ allowance on negotiation.

• As a guide, (Botswana Pula) BWP 1 = SAR 1.16 (South African Rand)
• Botswana VAT 12%
• Petrol is BWP 9.6/ litre
• You don’t pay to park or to use the roads.
• Vehicle insurance is way cheaper. (6 -7% PA of value of vehicle for fully comp)
• Med aid for H+W+2 kids = P 1800/month and works anywhere in world.
• One can send and receive money to and from anywhere in world no questions.
• Tax system is simple, only company provided house is a reduced tax benefit.
• Max tax is 25%. Average approx 15%.
• Nice 3 bed house = P6 K–P8K, Nice Bachelor pad = P3K to P6K
• Crime is way less than in SA
• Life is much quieter and slower than SA
• Winter is warmer than JHB
• Summer is 35 C
• Gabs is 350Km from JHB
• Do you have up to date Get-U-Wice certifications?
• Do you have 10 years experience in relevant field?
• Did you have some supervisory positions in the past or present?

Minimum Requirements to be considered:
1. Have most of the relevant experience as above
2. Have a tertiary education
3. Have in the least a Diploma
