RS Recruitment Services is assisting a large organisation in the INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY industry to recruit a senior and junior EXTERNAL ACCOUNT MANAGER to be based at their offices in DURBAN NORTH – approximately R35 000 to R45 000, negotiable for the senior position and R25 000 to R35 000 for the junior position.
OUR CLIENT IS AN INTERNATIONAL DISTRIBUTOR OF THE WORLD’S LEADING ENTERPRISE TECHNOLOGIES.
The overall purpose of the positions is to develop and manage clients and achieve targets associated with each customer.
The ideal candidate should be/have:
Matric.
Marketing or commerce degree or diploma.
5+ years product sales experience in the IT industry, (essential), for the senior role and 3 – 5 years for the junior role.
Minimum of 5 years product account management experience for the senior role and 3 years for the junior role
Proven ability to manage complex pipelines and forecasts.
Action oriented.
Results driven.
Proven track record of achieving targets.
Advanced Excel (advanced formulas), essential.
MS Office Suite (intermediate) essential.
Analytical thinking and decision making.
Good business acumen.
Own vehicle.
Unendorsed driver’s license.
Key responsibilities, but not limited to:
Drive sales revenue for allocated products and associated services.
Provide after-sales support and coaching.
Work with internal sales personnel to propose specific solutions for a given account.
Understand and implement vendor strategy and policies.
Provide accurate and regular sales forecasts and business updates.
Use market research to help best position products and services in the market.
Remuneration:
Approximately R35k to R45k per month, guaranteed for 3 months and then 80/20 basic + commission for senior role and R25k to R35k for the junior role.
