Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for the position of Extrusion Setter. This position will be based in Durban.

Key Outputs
• Setting up moulds/tools on machines.
• Conducting safe and efficient tool changes and operating Extrusion Machines.
• Optimising moulds/tools on machines.
• Managing a production team to ensure that the production plans are met.
• Maintaining equipment to the required standards and completing all scheduled planned maintenance
• Conducting comprehensive handovers including relevant reports to incoming setters.
• Conducting process fault finding to optimise the process and achieve the planned cycle times.
• Ensuring that ISO 22000 standards including health and safety are maintained.
• Making use of Operations Improvement Plan tools to continuously improve efficiencies.

Qualifications and Experience Required
• Grade 12 or equivalent.
• Extrusion Setting experience.
• Ability to conduct basic machine maintenance.
• Competent in the use of hand tools.
• Working knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics.
• Working knowledge of compressors, chillers and cooling towers.
• Awareness of quality, safety and operational requirements.
