Facilities Maintenance Foreman

The Commercial Division is looking for an individual to assume the responsibilities of Facilities Maintenance Foreman in Uitenhage. A National Diploma in Building & Civil Engineering (or equivalent) with 5 years’ experience in construction management or facility maintenance. Experience in a FMCG environment will be advantageous. This position holds a task grade of T11.

Results Required:

• Inspect and repair facilities as needed
• Execute Capital Projects according to plan
• Participate in design phase of each project
• Adhere to general manufacturing practices for the food environment
• Ensure compliance to the Construction Regulations, perform mandatory inspections and stop dangerous acts
• Identify technical problems on-site and recommend corrective action
• Monitor the performance of contractors and consultants on-site
• Action preventative maintenance schedules
• Compile and manage the civils department budget
• Manage and develop civils department team
• Update asset and equipment data regularly
