Overview
Property Development company, with a key focus on student accommodation in Polokwane is expanding their operations and looking for a dynamic, and well experienced Facilities Manager to oversee all building-related activities.

Minimum Requirements:
5 or more years’ experience as a facilities Manager managing a large and mixed property portfolio
Degree related to facility management, engineering, business administration or relevant field preferred
Relevant health and safety knowledge and or certifications
Previous supervisory experience including the management of external suppliers
Knowledge of accounting and finance principles

Duties and Responsibilities:
Plan and coordinate all installations (telecommunications, heat, electricity etc.) and refurbishments
Manage the upkeep of equipment and supplies to meet health and safety standards
Inspect buildings’ structures to determine the need for repairs or renovations
Review utilities consumption and strive to minimize costs
Supervise all staff facilities staff and external contractors
Control activities like parking space allocation, waste disposal, building security etc.
Handle insurance plans and service contracts
Perform analysis, budgeting and forecasting for the facilities department
Provide monthly reports on updates of all aspects of company facilities
Direct all our sites with regards to contract management and supervision
Manage all services and deliverables including Operational effectiveness; Contractual reporting to shareholders and funders; Compliance- Financial, Legislative, Industry & International Standards (e.g. ISO), Organisational Policy & Processes; Client Satisfaction; Maintain an expense ratio of not more than 38% (thirty eight percent)
