We are seeking the services of a Farm Manager to oversee the existing crops and assist in the further development of our farm in the Vryheid area.

The ideal candidate will have some experience and knowledge of Macadamia Nut Farming as well as some knowledge of essential oils & forestry.

Looking for an energetic self-starter to offer further input into the farm development which will include:
- Additional Mac orchard establishment
- Additional establishment of essential oils
- Re-establishment of timber
- Adhere to a maintenance plan & oversee the installation of an irrigation & fertigation system in the Macs
- Oversee the instalaltion of the dehusking and drying facilities

Minimum Requirements:
MUST be able to converse fluently in Zulu
Attitude is more important than experience
Relevant Agricultural/Horticultural Degree/Diploma will be advantageous but not essential
I am NOT looking for a recent graduate who has no farming experience

Duties (include but not limited to):
Management of +- 25 staff
Maintenance of tractors & farming equipment
Maintenance and management of the crops on the farms

On Offer:
Salary: basic of approx. R20-R25k pm
Future profit share is an option when we start harvesting the Macs
Company Vehicle – only a Yamaha AG200 motor bike to start with limited to use on the farm
Accommodation on the farm – basic house furnished: All reasonable W&E costs included
