Our Client based in the Winelands (Stellenbosch) area currently has a position of a Finance Administrator / Controller available. To note this is a contract position for a period of 1 (one) year.

Overview

The Finance Administrator / Controller is to organize our company’s day-to-day accounting and bookkeeping procedures. The Finance Administrator responsibilities includes maintaining records for all transactions, preparing monthly and quarterly financial reports and processing reimbursements.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

* Processing of debtors invoices and statements
* Reconciliation of debtors statements and allocation of payments
* Follow up on debtors payments
* Provide assistance with cashbook posting
* Processing of purchase orders and creditors invoices
* Creditors reconciliations and loading of payments on the bank
* Checking of support documentation for debtors and creditors invoices
* Attending to ad-hoc queries
* Backfill for other team members whilst on leave
* Assistance with weekly and monthly reporting
* Filing of documentation and recordkeeping for auditing purposes
* Any other ad-hoc duties that might be required from time to time

KEY REQUIREMENTS

* Relevant bookkeeping or accounting qualification (prerequisite)
* High aptitude level for accounting and financial management
* Minimum 3 + years of accounting experience
* Must have the experience in preparing financial statements
* Good knowledge of Income Statement, Balance Sheet and Profitability Management
* Strong financial management experience
* Meticulous with strong attention to detail and accuracy
