The successful applicant will be responsible for overseeing the Accounting functions i.e. receivables, payables, cash book, general ledger, budget preparations as well as general account functions

Key Knowledge
• BCom or Dip in Financial Accounting preferred
• Min 18 months experience in an accounting environment
• Sound working knowledge and understanding of accounting principles and practices
• Proficiency in MSOffice
• Knowledge of ACCPAC Accounting system highly preferable

Key Abilities
• Analytical – ensure accounting allocations are accurate
• Work under pressure, meet monthly deadlines
• Analyse monthly results to ensure accuracy of financial statement, making accruals and adjustments as needed
• Reconcile general ledger accounts
• Deal with confidential information
• Work independently
• Sound interpersonal and communications kills
• Attention to detail and accuracy
• Solve routine problems
