Responsible for the full financial function of the local and offshore administration businesses with assets under administration of more than R250bn. This is a fast-growing business that operates in a highly regulated environment.

• Responsible for delivery of the financial management, accounting and financial control function through other managers and their teams.
• Ensure quality and timely financial reporting to various company/ branch boards, the Exco and other users.
• Ensure delivery of the annual financial statements, tax returns and regulatory returns across multiple jurisdictions.
• Contributes to and implements financial strategy.
• Assists in deciding on the financial and business viability of new and existing projects and programmes.
• Analyse financial information and provide insight that supports decisions to improve competitiveness, profitability and growth.
• Drive the business planning process and outcomes for the administration businesses.
• Prepare financial forecasts.
• Ensure optimal capital utilisation in the business
• Manage the appropriate capitalisation of new project expenditure
Responsible for audit liaison as well as tax, legislative & statutory requirements.

• Chartered Accountant
• 7 - 10 years’ experience in financial management of financial services companies
• Sound understanding of the regulatory, tax and accounting requirements in life insurance and LISP environments
• Experience in offshore jurisdictions and multi-currency reporting will be advantageous given the responsibility for branches in Isle of Man, Guernsey and Hong Kong
• FAIS accreditation as Key Individual an advantage, alternatively the candidate will be required to obtain this in a reasonable timeframe l5.4o
