Financial Accountant

Location: Durbanville, Cape Town
Salary: R360k per annum

About the Role:
Opportunity available for a Financial Accountant at a Property Investment Company based in Durbanville, Cape Town. Due to the company’s BBEEE Policy, only South African candidates can be considered for the role.

Requirements:
Relevant Tertiary Degree in Finance/Accounting
3-5 years’ experience in a similar role
Completed SAIPA / CIMA articles with 1 year’s post-articles experience
Advanced Excel/Smartsheets skills
Computer literate (MS Office, Xero, NetCash, CaseWare)
Strong analytical and numerical skills
Valid driver’s license and own vehicle
South African Citizen
Fluent in English and ideally Afrikaans but not essential

Duties:
Take responsibility for the full accounting function of 4 companies within the group, including but not limited to:
Processing of all monthly accounts to Trial Balance
Preparing the necessary reconciliations on all accounts
Preparation of all monthly VAT returns where applicable
Debtors and Creditors Control
Bank Control
Management accounts preparation, budget review
Monthly/ Bi-Monthly Monthly/ Yearly statutory returns
Preparation of annual income tax and provisional tax calculations
Preparation of audit files for annual audits
Work with and liaise with auditors regarding the Annual Financial Statements
