Kazang Connect is looking for an experienced Financial Accountant to join our finance team in Cape Town.

This position requires high attention to detail and accuracy, excellent time management and organizational skills as well as the ability to work under pressure and multitask.

Here's what a typical day might look like for you.
• Preparing/Reviewing month end management accounts and supplementary reports
• Tax calculations
• VAT calculations
• IT14SD preparation
• Ensuring processes across business functions are adhered to for financial information to be accurate and complete
• Ad-hoc merchant reconciliations
• Performing data analysis for other departments
• Financial modelling using Excel
• Commission calculations
• Preparing for and liaising with auditors (AFS and BEE)
• Preparing weekly management reports
• Presenting financial information at weekly management meetings and other ad-hoc meetings
• Stock recons
• Preparing budgets and forecasts
• Settlement function (training will be provided)
• Managing a team
• Assisting the Software Development team by informing them of Finance requirements for when they build new software and then reviewing the outcome of their projects and informing them of any discrepancies
• Creating processes to mitigate risks and streamline workflows
• Performing monthly Income Statement analysis
• Monitoring expenses to identify cost-saving opportunities
• Any other Ad-Hoc duties as required

To get the job done you'll need to have
• Proven working experience as a Financial Accountant responsible for completing the above duties and responsibilities.
• A qualification relevant to accountancy would be ideal
