Job Description:
Responsible for the management of the Group’s Life of Mine (LOM) financial models, feeding into the business strategy and financial planning of the company. The position is based at Bryanston.

Tasks and Responsibilities:
Develop, implement and maintain company LOM financial models for the operations in collaboration with the relevant mining and technical departments
Use of capital and financial budgets in order to create life of mine models
Develop financial evaluation models and analysis therefore for project feasibility studies, mergers, acquisitions and disposals
Manage and provide guidance on all aspects related to business planning
Establish and maintain good relationships with internal and external stakeholders
Liaise with ratings agencies (Moody’s and S&P) end ensure they are abreast of latest state of company credit profile / financial forecasts
Liaise with sell-side analysts
Liaise with external auditors regarding mine valuation and impairment testing
Cash flow forecasting
Provide support to the Executive Committee and reporting to the Board of Directors
Stay abreast of financial and operational issues impacting the company
Stay informed and knowledgeable on the industry

Minimum Requirements:
B Com Degree (Accounting or Management Accountant)
Additional qualification(s) e.g. CA, CFA, CIMA, MBA – an advantage
Minimum 5 years’ accounting experience
Minimum 3-5 years’ mining-related work experience (mining, investment banking or strategy consulting) – please indicate clearly on CV
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and Powerpoint
Valid drivers’ license
