Financial Manager CA(SA) Stellenbosch Cape Winelands – EE Position ONLY

Job function would be of this Financial Manager CA(SA) is to manage the finance department, preparation of financial reports and the monitoring of the financial performance of the business unit. We are looking for a CA(SA) Financial Manager with Experience in the logistics, Transportation and Freight field will be advantageous.

Salary Up to R 65 000 CTC + 1 Year Contract position only (EE positions – ONLY EE/AA candidate to apply)

Min Requirements
• Qualifications required - MUST BE a Chartered Accountant CA(SA)
• EE Position ONLY – IMPORTANT
• Microsoft Office, Excel and Pastel
• Previous experience as a Financial Manager CA(SA) would be in your favour
• At least 2 years’ experience in the financial management field post articles
• Experience in the logistics, Transportation and Freight field - advantageous and as a Financial Manager even better
• Meticulous, detailed, well-organised and ability to work independently and under pressure, with high level of attention to detail and accuracy

Key performance areas
• Manages a financial team of 4 people within the Business Unit – PASTEL
• Assist & support Debtors and Creditors managers with any queries/recons. Monthly review of PASTEL Debtors and Creditors balances
• Review of sundry creditors reconciliations – PASTEL
• Cash flow analysis & cash management
• Processing & approval of month end journals
• Accurate and complete general ledger accounting
• Review all balance Sheet Reconciliations
• Assisting & review quarterly reporting of internal controls, ensuring sound financial controls are in place.
• Internal management reporting
• Presenting monthly financial results to Imperial Managed Solutions management where required
• Monthly payroll
• Liaising with HR department to ensure payroll information is up to date and accurate
• Calculating salary structures for new appointments
• Dealing with all payroll queries from staff & head office
• Tax administration including submission of EMP201 and VAT 201 returns
• Review and submission of all CAPEX requests to head office
• Review fixed asset register monthly
• Assisting management in achieving BEE targets, identify gaps and execute plans to improve BEE ratings
• Review monthly BEE procurement report submissions
• Review of month end packs of subsidiary company
• Ad-hoc projects and reports as required
• Assist with annual budgeting process
• Co-ordinate and assist with the internal and external audit process
• Preparation of Account reconciliations for transporters
• Preparation of monthly flash reports to head office
• Mentor and coach subordinates
• Identify training and development needs for staff members
