Purpose of the Role

To establish and maintain financial management policies and procedures. To ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements as relating to the company and in conjunction with the CFO. This role will take accountability for the day to day functions of the finance unit including the effective utilisation of staff and financial resources and it will take full responsibility for the production of accurate and relevant financial information for internal purposes.

Qualifications and Experience

? Bachelors degree in Finance – related field (essential)
? Honours degree in Finance – related field (recommended)
? CTA completed and valid (Essential)
? CA(SA) or equivalent (advantageous)
? Completed articles in external audit or financial management
? 5 – 10 years’ experience working in finance including 3 years’ managerial experience

Technical skills

? Advanced knowledge and application of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)
? Knowledge of Company Taxation in terms of South African Tax Legislation
? Knowledge of basic Financial Modelling
