Financial Manager : Property Fund

Our top Commercial Property Fund client seeks a seasoned Financial Manager to ensure that finance is seen as a value adding business partner (Business, Tenants, Property Asset Management and External clients). He/She will develop Finance's influence in the making of business decisions. Oversee and manage all aspects of the Client Portfolio Financial Department and develop systems that cater for the reporting needs of Property Owners.

Decision making authority:
Make the rules and establish precedents enabling reporting staff to produce. Interpret the strategy laid out by the CFO by applying material and manpower resources to achieve objectives outlined in the strategy specific to organizational function operating within budget parameters and decision framework

Qualifications:
• B.Com (Financial Management) or similar ESSENTIAL
• Articles (or part thereof) would be nice,
• 4 years in similar environment
• Attitude and cultural fit are very important – This is not a micromanagement style office and require a self-starter, energetic person who gets on with it.
• Investment Analysis and forecasting experience
• ADVANCED EXCEL experience

Job functions will include the following, but not limited to:

1. Cash flow management (operational entities as well as future investments)
2. Staff management (process management)
3. Monthly reporting to senior management and board of directors
4. Full business analysis (revenue, expenditure, profitability etc.)
5. Working capital management

Responsibilities include:
• Producing accurate financial reports and information
• Developing cash flow statements
• Projecting profit
• Managing credit
• Providing advice in making financial decisions
• Directing investments
• Making financial forecasts
• Budgeting
• Managing risk of financial loss
