Position: FINANCIAL MANAGER (CA) - EE position

This is a new position within a dynamic and growing organisation that established and is still building a future-fit, inclusive society through technology and innovation. They are looking for a qualified and experienced Financial Manager who, preferably, is a qualified CA with minimum 5 years’ experience – a traditional FM role. The ideal candidate will be a well-rounded financial manager with good technical skills (they have subsidiary companies with intercompany transactions). The company has grown a lot in the past year and further growth estimated in the following year or two is on the cards – we therefor need a strong manager who will be adaptable and comfortable in an agile environment. The person’s character and ability adapt and work around curve-ball-situations will be a key factor in terms of the right culture fit. The role will oversee all group finance, accounting and billing functions on a day to day and operational basis. Please note: This is an Employment Equity position.

• A relevant tertiary qualification with articles – CA (SA) is preferred
• Minimum 5 years’ experience (good technical financial experience) – Financial Management experience
• Management experience is essential
• Proven ability and experience in dealing with many stakeholders and people from diverse backgrounds. Ability to manage a finance,
accounting and billing team while being a team player a group environment where everyone gets operationally involved in the business.

• Manage relationships with internal / affiliated company staff
• Manage relationship with bankers
• Management of staff
• Analysis and review of monthly management accounts
• Monthly cash flow forecast
• Management of annual audit
• Management of annual Income Tax submission by auditors
• Co-ordination of secretarial requirements with auditors
• Oversight of quarterly reporting to Jobs Fund
• Oversight of credit control
• Oversight and continuous assessment of all finance processes
• Oversight of internal controls at all locations
• Oversight of ABC principles and project costing allocations
• Oversight of loan recoverability – Jobs Fund
• Financial Reporting to all Funders
• Approval of VAT submissions
• Management of procurement function
• Management of budget process and reporting vs actuals
• Sign off all H/O costs
• Optimisation of cash flow and Interest income
• Reconciliation of cash flow per business unit
