What the person must be able to do:

This role is in the automotive manufacturing sector. All duties would take place in this context.

* Diagnostics and Repairs of Breakdowns

* Preventative Maintenance e.g. Lubrication, Vibration, Infrared & Oil Sample Tests

* Spare Parts Machining

* Machine Modifications

* Machine Moving & Installation

Key Job Deliverables:

* Maximise Equipment Uptime

* Adherence to Preventative Maintenance Schedule

* Ensure First Time Right Repairs

Background work experience:

* 5 years Mechanical Repairs (Machines, Hydraulics & Pneumatics)

* 5 years Fitter & Turner

* 5 years Machine Installations & Moving

* 5 years Parts Machining

* N3 Fitter & Turner + Trade Test

* Mechanical Equipment Maintenance & Repairs

* Maintaining and repairing automated machines and equipment

* Autonomous Maintenance i.e. Supporting Machine Operators in doing lubrication and first level support

* Machine disassembly and re-assembly. Moving machines from one location to another. Installing new machines.

* Using lathes and other machining equipment to create parts for machines

* Advantageous: Specific experience in an Automotive Parts Factory

Reports to: Maintenance Supervisor

Location: Port Elizabeth

Salary: Market Related. In the Range of R240K to R360K per annum. Highly exceptional more senior candidates may be considered.
