Sovereign Foods, a national supplier of top quality locally produced chicken products to the SA market via various brands, is seeking to employ a Food Services Coordinator for its operations in the Western – and Eastern Cape.

Applications are invited from suitably qualified and interested candidates for this position at the Commercial Division. The incumbent of this position is responsible for building strong customer relationships and growing the company’s footprint in the Food Services industry in the Western – and Eastern Cape.

A National Diploma in Marketing, a minimum of 5 years’ Customer Service experience within the FMCG field, preferably in the poultry environment at a key account level, and a successful track record in Sales is required. Strong culinary skills and two years’ experience in food preparation and presentation to an audience is required. Knowledge with regards to HACCP, the Meat Safety Act and other relevant legislation is required. The individual’s availability to travel extensively at short notice is essential, along with having a valid, unendorsed driver’s license and own reliable transport.

Results Required:

The successful candidate must be able to achieve the following results:

• Maintain strong relationships with existing food services partners
• Acquire new food services partners to grow the sales reach/footprint
• Assist exiting food services partners by growing the end customer database
• Drive sales and margins with new and existing partners, across the product basket
• Effective execution of Sales Strategies
• Maintain brand standards
• Maintain a call cycle, advertising campaigns and promotions
• Visit Key Customers together with Key Account Representatives
• Provide technical guidance on products to customers
• Provide training on product preparation methods
• Attend Open Days & Trade Shows, preparing and presenting products to a high level audience
• Monitor product lines
