A Construction company based in Pretoria and operating throughout South Africa is looking for suitably qualified Concrete Foreman must have a sound knowledge of Heavy Civil Concrete Structures in particular water retaining structures, in excess of R300 Million. You must be able to travel, this not negotiable.

FOREMAN – CIVIL CONCRETE STRUCTURES

Description:

• Assumes responsibility for the Management and integration of all physical construction activities on site pertaining to reinforced concrete
structures.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

• To construct and deliver the allocated section of work within a specified timeframe with allocated resources.
• Read, understand and explain drawing specifications to subordinates.
• Ensure safety compliances to and promote safe working practices.
• Monitor construction activity on site to prescribed quality standards.
• Monitor production and make daily progress reports for submission to Line Management.
• Identify bottlenecks, resolve them and streamline the construction process on site.
• Integrate various resource requirements of production teams on site.
• Monitor, control and improve production and productivity levels on site.
• Conduct production planning and integration meetings on site

Skills, Experience & Education:

• Relevant Construction Qualification/Trade with 15 - 20 years of experience in Civil Concrete Structures particularly in Water Retaining
Structures such as WWTW and Reservoirs, out of which the last 6-8 years should have Functioned in the similar capacity of a medium/ large
Civils construction Company.
