Our client, a well-established and busy restaurant, is seeking the assistance of an Operations Manager to manage the business to maximize profitability, maintain operational standards, ensure excellent customer service and compliance with OHS Act.

Minimum Requirements:
Matric or equivalent
Fluency in English, Xhosa will be advantageous
Computer knowledge
Previous experience within a franchise environment essential
Minimum of 8 years’ experience in a restaurant environment
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in the role of a restaurant Manager
Extensive computer experience and proficiency with MS Office, Excel, Word, Outlook
Pilot – proficient in all aspects of the system
Experience with hospitality-related computer software systems
Experience in hospitality industry standards and procedures
Experience with financial reporting, and monitoring performance against budgets

Responsibilities
Execute daily tasks and work instructions according to relevant procedures and instructions
Achieve and or exceed all financial budgets
Comply with all relevant management reporting processes
Manage all the financial procedures of the restaurant
Manage the restaurants stock levels to required standards
Control and manage food costs and ensure that stipulated costs of sales are achieved
Ensure agreed upon budgets are achieved
Ensure all operational standards are implemented in the restaurant as required by Franchisor
Comply with all relevant checklists and evaluations as set out by Franchisor & Owner
Ensure excellent customer service
Manage and ensure proper maintenance and cleanliness of all restaurant facilities
Ensure knowledge of restaurant policies and services.
All front office activities are effectively coordinated and resolve customer complaints and problems
Manage staff’s time and attendance
Manage staff’s performance standards & adhere to company timeframes for performance management
Achieve required training standards and targets
Manage the recruitment process for all vacancies that arise
Ensure adherence to the company’s disciplinary code and procedures
Submit all related salary information to Payroll Administrator on or before deadline dates
Comply with Franchisor’s & Government health &safety requirements
Ensure appointed Health & Safety Officer complies with all safety standards and regulations
Perform all duties, within your vocational abilities, as requested
Carry out any other ad hoc duties as and when required by management
Ensure high-quality standards of work are adhered to at all times
All the above responsibilities are performed according to the Brand’s Operational Standards
