An exciting opportunity for a driven new business sales hunter with a proven track record in achievement of targets that would like to enter the Freight Industry. Thorough Industry & Product Knowledge training will be provided.

Candidates with sales experience in Full Supply Chain/Freight (Clearing & Forwarding)/Logistics & Courier will also be strongly considered!

This leading Global Logistics & Transportation Service Provider is looking to appoint a Freight Sales Specialist that will focus on New Business Development initiatives for their Cape Town Region.

Minimum Requirements:

• Matric (Grade 12) Qualification
• Bachelor’s Degree or similar qualification and/or experience
• 3 Years Corporate Sales record in new business development
• Proven track record of achievement of targets
• Industry sales experience with the understanding of full Supply Chain,
particularly in Freight (Clearing & Forwarding) will be advantageous
• Experience in presentations and negotiations of business solutions at
Senior Management Level
• Valid Code 08 drivers’ licence and own reliable transport

Main Focus Areas within the role will entail:

• Seeking new business opportunities to grow freight market share:
Focusing on services that includes Ocean Cargo/Air Cargo/Reefer/Perishables
and full Supply Chain Management Solutions
• Achieve set Revenue Targets for Freight
• Ensure sound Competitor Knowledge and monitoring within Freight Industry
• Cold calling & Scheduling of New Business Appointments
• Achieve own individual targets
• Establish customer needs and expand customer base
• Update weekly call reports
• Prepare and present proposals and presentations
