Front End Developer

Location: Woodstock, Cape Town
Salary: R25k – R35k per month negotiable

About the Role:
Develop web pages and front-end systems for websites and web applications primarily within the HubSpot & Wordpress and platforms.

Requirements:
Relevant Tertiary Qualification advantageous
Experience:
Understanding of cross-platform Web development, including IE, Chrome, Firefox and Safari
Experience creating user-friendly applications.
Must be able to learn new programming languages or technologies. Some UX design skills.
Experience in database design.
Some experience with graphic formats and graphics editing.
At least 2 years proven work experience in Front-End web development.
Technical:
Strong background with HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and jQuery.
HTML 2 years.
CSS 2 years.
JavaScript 2 years
LESS and/or SASS
Twig Templating
Bootstrap
Advantageous:
Front-end Frameworks such as , React, Angular and Ionic
Experience with RESTful Services and APIs.
Experience with version control systems such as SVN and GIT
A ?rm grasp of the Adobe Creative Suite.
Knowledge of Hubspot.
Mobile application design
Package management – Yarn/Npm

Duties:
Code new features or changes to websites for either customers or internal needs.
Code designs received from designers. Fix any errors or bugs.
Ensure that coding standards are adhered to. Make sure development is cross-browser compatible.
Make sure that reported bugs are tracked, ?xed and status sheets are maintained.
Develop and implement front-end web code and design standards and writing clean, semantic code.
Collaborate with marketing teammates, senior management, designers, and other project stakeholders.
Proactively scope and present new ideas to improve our website experience for prospects, leads, and customer.
Prototype HTML/CSS/JavaScript user interfaces. Create web-compatible images for use in HTML applications.
Work with other developers on creating reusable JavaScript components and HTML/CSS templates and themes.
Contribute to the design and development of a high-volume enterprise UI.
