Role summary

Sanne is currently seeking a Qualified Accountant to join our Liquidations and VAT compliance team. The role focuses on providing assistance to the
team managers in running client portfolios. Candidate will provide a full suite of liquidation and VAT compliance services to a portfolio of clients.

Key responsibilities

?Provide day-to-day management to a portfolio of clients in voluntary liquidation, ensuring compliance with internal policies and procedures; client and statutory reporting deadlines ;
? Prove all debts and issue instructions to ensure payment of all creditors;
? Prepare the relevant cash reconciliations and statements of account to cover the period of the liquidation;
? Liaise with the companies’ directors, secretary, service providers, professional advisers and tax authorities to ensure timely completion of the liquidations;
? Obtain clearance from the Irish tax authorities to bring the liquidation of the company to a conclusion;
? Prepare and submit of corporation tax returns for the period of the liquidation;
Manage a portfolio of VAT clients, ensuring compliance with internal policies and procedures; client and statutory reporting deadlines;
? Collate relevant information to prepare VAT calculations from
client and review of same;
? Prepare VAT calculation schedules for internal and client review;
? Timely reporting of VAT position to Administrator/client to ensure VAT liabilities paid to Revenue Commissioners in a timely manner;
? Submit VAT returns to Revenue Commissioners in accordance with the relevant deadlines;
? Ensure that all day-to-day matters, tasks and reconciliations are completed in a timely manner and internal deadlines are achieved;
? Accurate time recording; and
? Perform various other ad hoc duties to support the team as may be necessary from time-to-time.

Skills / experience required

? Accounting experience;
? Proficient in MS Excel and MS Word;
? Structural and detail orientated;
? Good analytical and problem solving skills;
? Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills;
? Ability to prioritise work and meet strict deadlines;
? Excellent communication and organisation skills;
? Any previous experience of liquidations and VAT compliance will be advantageous, but not a prerequisite for this role; and
? Motivated and driven.
? We will support a professional qualification such as CAI or ACCA with this role, candidates may have already commenced some of the modules.
