Gardens Supervisor | Sabi Sands Reserve | Luxury Lodge Group

We are looking for experienced GARDENS SUPERVISOR to join the Maintenance Team of a Private Game Reserve located in Sabi Sands.

The Gardens Supervisor is responsible for assisting the Maintenance Manager with Supervision of the Gardening team, ensuring that the lodge gardens, heart of house, and staff accommodation is maintained to the standards set by Lodge Management in consultation with the Landscaping Consultant.  The gardening team are responsible for maintaining all areas on and around the premises, cleaning the heart of house area including the garbage area, the staff accommodation gardens and buildings, guest vehicles and pathways. Failure to provide adequate services may result in unsafe or poorly maintained facilities and equipment.

KEY FOCUS AREAS
Assist the Maintenance Manager with daily task allocations and team supervision
Ensure and Supervise care of lodge pools, landscaping, herb/vegetable gardens and irrigation system
Assist the Maintenance Manager with planning of upcoming projects
Ensure and Supervise care of all areas on and around the premises, cleaning the heart of house area including the garbage area, the staff accommodation gardens and buildings, guest vehicles and pathways.
Waste Removal including recycling
Health & Safety;
REQUIREMENTS – QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
Previous experience in supervising a team at a 4 or 5* property
Basic computer knowledge
Valid Driver’s License
At least 2+year experience in a similar position
Passion for Gardening,
Working knowledge of cleaning products and gardening and landscaping tools
Working knowledge of plants, trees, herbs, and fertilizers
START DATE - ASAP
Salary Package:
Basic salary will depend on experience and qualifications
Provident fund: 50/50%
Medical Aid
Accommodation: single room with private bathroom
