General Manager (Safekeeping Department) – Sandton City – MKT305E
Salary: R35 000 – R40 000 cost to company (Negotiable) (Depending on experience)

A large medallion & coin brokerage are currently looking to employ a General Manager for their Storage Facility department. MUST have Accounting and Auditing experience as well as Management experience to apply!


Purpose of the position:
The purpose of this position is to ensure that the Storage Facility functions across the group run optimally within a cost contained and zero tolerance for loss context

Requirements:
• Matric
• Commercial degree or relevant experience
• MUST have Accounting and Auditing experience (Non-Negotiable)
• Proven track record in logistics management, which includes proper reporting and understanding of key performance indicators that should be tracked.
• Experience in Audits, Stock Counts and Financial Systems
• Strong business acumen
• Strong managerial and leadership skills
• Strong project management skills
• Strong and innovative ways to save costs and improve efficiencies
• Good skills on Microsoft Suite Packages - Strong Excel skills
• Strong ethical intelligence
• Good creative and critical thinking capability
• Profit and cost conscious
• Ability to work collaboratively across and within own team.
• Ability to see the bigger picture and to motivate staff
• Zero tolerance for irregularities and non-compliance related to stock

Duties include, but are not limited to:
• Is responsible for the growth of Safekeeping Department year on year. Works cooperatively with Marketing and Sales Divisions to achieve this.
• Ensures that policies, standards and procedures are in place and documented for Safekeeping operations.
• Monitors the operations of Safekeeping Department to ensure that standards and procedures are being adhered to by the staff.
• Ensures that the Terms and Conditions of Safekeeping Department are well understood by the staff and that they adhere to these terms and conditions.
• Works with the Sales Division to ensure that Retail and Broker Divisions are promoting Safekeeping with their clients and following the relevant Safekeeping standards and procedures.
• Reviews and recommends improvements within Safekeeping to the COO for approval.
• Manages and reports on Safekeeping in terms of new membership, withdrawals, documentation, non-compliances, customer satisfaction etc
